You Decide

[Edited 4/6/2006 by request to include more information]

“…According to Dr. Horowitz, a specialist in New York, in 20 years every American will have [Lyme] disease. We will be a neurologically impaired society – his words, not mine.”

This quote is from a letter by Paula Gesmundo on Rebecca Wells’ Ya Ya Sisterhood website.

Is this really possible? You decide:

  • Lyme Disease is the fastest growing infections disease after AIDS in the US.
  • According to the CDC, Lyme Disease is underreported by a factor of at least ten. Other studies say that factor is as high as 50.
  • One study estimates that up to one in three people will have it by the year 1012 based on CDC reporting data.

You may rightly ask: If things are so bad, why don’t you and your doctor don’t know more about this?

To learn why, read the 1993 Senate Committee Hearing on Lyme Disease testimony by one of the worlds leading experts in Lyme Disease, Joseph J. Burrascano, Jr., M.D.

Unfortunately, not much has changed since 1993, except that the reported cases of Lyme Disease have risen 40%.
