Man, how many times per year can they make an official day for me to miss my mother? She died of lung cancer in 2001, but it seems like just yesterday. As it turns out, I miss her every day. But holidays are especially difficult, particularly Mother’s Day. I feel robbed.

I hear ya! My dad died on July 1st 8 years ago, my Mom died on July 29th 5 years ago. So July 4th sucks, really, the whole stupid month can just kiss my ass, as far as I’m concerned. Then mother’s day, of course, blows, father’s day too, and their birthdays, and my birthday…. blah blah blah…. you get the picture: full-on missage most of the year. Stupid death!
